Forehand smashes are useful for hitting the shuttlecock from various angles. For example, it can be used to hit the shuttlecock from the backhand side of the court. The next technique is when you are hitting the shuttles, you should always face the net, elbow up. If you do this, you can hit the shuttle with the side of the racket that is closer to the net. Similarly, you can also make the shuttles come closer to you by using the side of your racket that is farther away from the net. On the other hand, this is called the proper foundation when doing smash shoulder and arm must be high up. If you swing your arm forward and make contact with the shuttle at the highest point possible, you are increasing your swing arc, this is good as a lot of players in KL Malaysia do this.

If you swing your arm forward and make contact with the shuttle as low as possible, too slow. so you are decreasing your swing arc. If you swing your arm forward and make contact with the shuttle in the middle of the air, you are maintaining your swing arc. So try to make contact with your shuttle as high up in the air as possible to get to power.

In badminton, the forehand smash is a great way and also a great deal of power to get your opponent off balance. However, if you do not have a good forehand smash, and don’t know how to forward transfer body, then you will not be able to get your opponent off balance.

Again, follow-through with your racquet is important when you play badminton. It is very important to follow through with your racquet because you do not want to hit the net.

Lastly, the most important part of any forehand smash is the timing. To start with, the badminton racquet has to hold at a 90-degree angle to the body and the wrist down along with the elbow. The racket head should be pointing straight toward the net. However, the arm should be fully up and the hand should be in a position to deliver the smash.
