Seringkali dimulai sebelum matahari terbit. Anda mungkin bangun jam 5:30 pagi untuk latihan sebelum sekolah, bergegas dari lapangan ke kelas dengan rambut basah dan kaki lelah. Sepulang sekolah, sementara teman-teman Anda pergi minum bubble tea di Setapak atau menonton film di Wangsa Maju, Anda kembali ke aula untuk latihan 3 jam lagi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kemewahan itu tidak ada. Anda akan menghabiskan berjam-jam melakukan latihan footwork tanpa kok. Anda akan melakukan ratusan umpan multi-shuttle sampai paru-paru Anda terasa terbakar. Tubuh Anda akan terasa sakit hampir setiap hari. Anda akan bermain dengan jari yang diperban, pergelangan kaki yang dibalut, dan lecet di kaki. Anda akan melewatkan pesta ulang tahun, kumpul keluarga saat liburan, dan perjalanan sekolah karena Anda memiliki turnamen atau jadwal latihan bulutangkis. Teman-teman Anda mungkin berhenti mengundang Anda karena &#8220;kamu selalu latihan.&#8221; Ini bisa terasa sangat sepi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keluarga Anda juga berkorban. Orang tua Anda menghabiskan ribuan Ringgit untuk sewa lapangan, biaya pelatih bulutangkis, raket, senar, dan bensin untuk mengantar Anda keliling Lembah Klang. Untuk setiap Lee Zii Jia, ada ribuan junior yang berhenti di level distrik\/daerah. Anda akan menghadapi kegagalan terus-menerus. Anda mungkin kalah di babak pertama MSSM setelah berlatih selama setahun penuh. Anda mungkin mengikuti seleksi nasional dan tidak melihat nama Anda di daftar. Anda mungkin cedera tepat sebelum turnamen besar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jalur ini biasanya bergerak dari tim sekolah ke turnamen distrik (MSSD), kemudian negara bagian (MSSS\/MSSM), dan akhirnya sirkuit junior nasional. Dibutuhkan tiga pilar. Pertama, <strong>Fisik<\/strong>: Anda membutuhkan kecepatan dan koordinasi alami, serta ketahanan untuk berlatih setiap hari tanpa cedera.
